Student Health 101 describes benefits of volunteering

Approximately 1 in 3 college students regularly spend time volunteering either on campus or in the community, according to a Student Health 101 survey of more than 1,200 students. In "Volunteerism: How Students Are Improving the World, Their Campuses, and Themselves," George Washington University graduate Maura Judkis outlines the many benefits of volunteer service.

In addition to the positive feelings that come from volunteering, students can also look forward to building their own leadership skills, and listing their work on their resumes to help get that dream job.
